About the Graduate Students' Society

The Graduate Students Society is the official student organization representing all the Post-Graduate Students in the National University of Singapore. Managed by a team of thirty two capable young individuals, we seek to be the Post-Graduates' Voice for Academic and Welfare Matters. At the same time, we seek to facilitate networking of inter-faculty and inter-organization, ranging from conferences to parties and sports activities, cultivating and enriching students lives while studying at NUS.Ever been passionate about contributing for a better student life? GSS is your voice for student affairs

Apart from simply organizing events to cater to your welfare & academic needs, the Graduate Students Society is your voice for student affairs. We represent YOU in the following committees

• The Bridge between Students & The Office of Student Affairs / The Board of Graduate Studies

We meet up with the Dean of Students & Key Personnel from the Office of Student Affairs to find out how we can work together. In fact, we are working very closely together for the welfare of our student population. Also, we are meeting up with the Board of Graduate Studies once every semester to find out how the Graduate Students Society can assist both the students and the Board of Graduate Studies to create a better academic environment for all of us.

Should you wish to let us help you bring up issues to the university administration, feel free to write to osagss@nus.edu.sg anytime throughout the year. We will try our best to see what we can do.

• International Student Orientation

We do not only take care of existing students by organizing activities for them, we also help welcome new blood into the family. Together with the Office of Student Affairs, we help to organize the International Students Orientation. We always welcome volunteers to help out with the airport reception or being an orientation buddy. Interested? Join us by sending your name, email and mobile number to osagss@nus.edu.sg.

• Other meetings

The Graduate Students Society also represents YOU in other meetings, including meetings with the NUS Career Centre and Sports & Recreation Centre, interviewing canteen vendors, as well as the external meetings.

GSS will continue to strive for more benefits in the students' interests and be the official voice for the post-grads of NUS. If you feel you have a genuine interest to enrich the student life in NUS with your presence, then join us as a GSS volunteer. The volunteer assists and organises along with the ExCo of GSS in organising the various events and programs. Interested? Be a GSS volunteer!
