The Inaugural Graduate Students’ Sports Day is scheduled to become the most anticipated annual event of the graduate calendar. The event will allow students to put on their gear, stretch their muscles and flex their bodies instead of just their minds. Sports Week is anticipated to be a vibrant and fun-filled activity where teams and individuals will partake not only in rigorous physical contests but also cheer for their friends in camaraderie and sportsmanship.

In addition, a comprehensive Sports Bazaar will be set up, with everything including food, beverages and above all, sporting equipment and attire at great discount! Come down to SRC from 20th -22nd March and cheer for the games! 1000 free event t-shirts will also be handed out during the bazaar. Are you ready?

A. 3 v 3 Basketball
Time: 9Am ~ 6pm
Venue: Basket Ball Courts, SRC, National University of Singapore.
Expected number of attendees: 16 teams
Brief Description:

• Each match takes up half of the basketball playground. 3 basketball playgrounds have been reserved, thus 6 games could be played simultaneously.
• Each match lasts 25 mins with 3 mins break. The winner should be the team who shoots higher score. It might be a knock out tournament or one on one game depending on the participation.
• Each team comprises of 3 players and 1 substitute (if needed).
• There would be one referee and one assistant for each match.

Registration Fee: $30 per team (max. 4 players)

Prizes: Team: Winner - $200, Runner-up - $100

B. 6 v 6 Soccer (Street Football)
Time: 9am – 6pm
Venue: HandBall Courts / Multipurpose courts, SRC, National University of Singapore
Expected number of attendees: 16 teams
Brief description:

• 15 minutes per half and a 5 minute break in between.
• Each team comprises of 6 attendees (including one goalkeeper) and maximum 2 substitutes.
• There would be one referee and one assistant for each match.

Registration Fee: $50 per team (max. 8 players). Please register in person by coming to the GSS office at YIH

Prizes: Team: Winner - $350, Runner-up - $150

C. Badminton
Time: 9am – 6pm
Venue: Multipurpose Hall 5, National University of Singapore
Expected number of attendees: 64 Mens’ Singles, 32 Ladies’ Singles, 32 Mixed Doubles
Brief description:

• Each Match shall consist of the best of 3 sets with each set played to 15 points. A team need not win by two points to win a game.
• Badminton Rules

Registration Fee: $8 for Singles (Men/Ladies), $10 for Mixed Doubles

Prizes: Singles: Winner - $100, Runner-up - $50
Mixed Double: Winner - $150, Runner-up - $75

D. Table Tennis
Time: 9am – 6pm
